Welcome to StudioKB, a creative boutique that specializes in high-end digital retouching. We work directly with photographers and advertising agencies to create stunning images that are only possible through extensive compositing, seamless retouching and cutting edge CGI. We have the solutions to transform your ideas into reality, enabling you to visualize your projects, however daunting the challenge.
We are here to provide you with an amicable and professional relationship that fosters productive collaboration on award-winning projects. Our passion is grounded in extensive experience that allows us the unique ability to create images that fully realize the potential of their concepts. This is accomplished through discipline, dedication and a meticulous attention to detail so that the resulting impact or subtle nuances are flawless in their visual translation. StudioKB's digital team is hand picked for their years of both technical and artistic experience. This allows us the basis necessary to provide superior imaging solutions while keeping your budgets and deadlines in mind.
StudioKB prides itself on its ability to see the vast picture simultaneously with the minute detail. Being consistent with this philosophy, we are organized to handle projects that range anywhere from single-image minor retouching, to multi-image composites, to large-scale productions including advertising campaigns and interactive websites.
Who, When and Where:
Kevin Buckley earned his Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in drawing and painting from the University of Southern California. He founded StudioKB in 2004 and remains the Owner and Creative Director. The firm is located in beautiful, sunny southern California. Here, we use state-of-the-art Apple computers, ICC profiled workflows, color-calibrated monitors, Wacom tablets and Epson printers. Whether you prefer over the shoulder collaboration, would like an artist on location or would like files FTP'ed half way around the world, we can provide you with a pleasing and seamlessly-produced product.
We recycle (95% or higher): Paper, plastic, cardboard, glass, aluminum, tin, Styrofoam, old electronics and expired ink cartridges.
We conserve electricity by shutting down hardware unless it is in use, by using sleep mode for both computers and printers, by using Energy Star products whenever possible, enforcing a lights off policy when rooms are vacant, by using natural light instead of electric when possible, and by using CFL or LED bulbs.
We conserve materials by using a duplex printer, purchasing SFL (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) printing paper, printing in draft mode, using an online fax so that we can choose which faxes to print, and using Adobe Digital Signatures in conjunction with email. We conserve fuel by using FTP and email to collaborate whenever possible and we conserve plastic by using a filtering pitcher and reusable water bottles opposed to disposable.
