Case Studies

Real projects showing how craft, technical precision, and advanced workflows come together to create campaign-ready visuals.

“Despite the amount of retouching and the number of people giving feedback, you made every image look fantastic. The details and end result were a huge boost to the engagement we received on our social media posts. Also, I appreciate how quickly you were able to turn all the requests and retouching notes over throughout the project. I look forward to working with you again on our next project.”

— Aaron Onsurez, Art Director, Innocean

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Having our retouching lead on set is an insurance policy for your shoot budget. When we are beside the photographer/creative director, we are analyzing real-time captures to identify issues that are impossible or highly expensive to fix in post. We advise on lighting, reflection management, and required plate shots to ensure that when post-production begins, we have exactly the assets we need for a seamless composite. We bridge the gap between physical reality and digital perfection before the cameras even wrap.

Yes. We are built for high-pressure advertising environments. We don't achieve speed by cutting corners; we achieve it through scalable workflows and experienced talent. When a rush request comes in, we can mobilize additional senior retouchers to work in parallel on different aspects of the same image (e.g., separating background work from vehicle prep) using a standardized pipeline. We meet the deadline, but more importantly, the final image will never look like a "rush job."

Absolutely. We have extensive experience working with plates and HDRIs captured via the Gybow system. We understand that Gybow isn't just about a background image; it's about capturing authentic lighting and reflections to wrap around the vehicle. Our workflow ensures that the color grading, perspective, and environmental influence from the Gybow capture are perfectly integrated with the studio photography of the car, resulting in a composite that is indistinguishable from a location shoot.

We treat pre-release photographic assets with the same military-grade security as raw CAD data. Our "Code Red" protocol involves receiving raw files via encrypted, point-to-point transfer. Access is restricted strictly to the artists assigned to the project, and our studio is physically secured. We are fully compliant with the stringent NDA and security auditing requirements of major automotive OEMs.

We aim for invisible retouching. That means we preserve believable texture, lighting logic, and the camera’s intent, while removing distractions and fixing what the shoot could not control. If someone can “see the retouching,” the retouching failed. Our seasoned retouchers balance enhancing the image without damaging its realism.

This is our specialty. Very few advertising images today are single captures. We routinely build composites—taking the perfect reflection from shot A, the wheel position from shot B, and the background from location C. The key is our ability to normalize lighting and shadows across all these disparate elements so the final image feels like a cohesive, single moment in time.
